Type of device* : Android tablet
Brand and version of the device: Samsung tablet A8
System** : Android version 12

* graphics tablet/display tablet/2-in-1 laptop/Android tablet
** Windows/Linux/Mac/Android, + version (you’ll find it in Help -> Show system information for bug reports)

Description of the issue (you can include screenshots): when I import an image, I cannot resize it, it buffers. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong. I’ve watched tutorials.

You mentioned you are importing a picture. Are you importing the picture via Layer > Import/Export > Import layer?

Then using the transform tool to resize it?

If this is not the method you’re using, please give the steps.

When I want to import an image, in jpg or png, into Krita, I usually do this:

  1. I open a file in Krita. I resize the program window so that I can see Krita and the file manager at the same time. The file manager can be Windows Explorer itself or another one (I use FastStone);

  2. I select the file in the manager, hold the button and drag it to Krita;

  3. The program shows an options window, the first one is “Insert as New Layer”. I choose this one and the program creates a new layer for the image. From there I can edit the image without any problem using the transform tools.

Try to do it like this…
