I can't change the brush size and can't open some krita documents

Hello
I’m pretty new to Krita, I use it only since a few months, but yesterday I opened it and I couldn’t find the “button” to change the brush size, it changed into the opacity one (I now have two opacity buttons).
Also, some of my documents, which are registered as .kra, can’t be opened anymore.

Now the main page looks like that, do you know what I could do ? I tried to delete/reinstall krita, but it didn’t work.

Hello @Pumpkinsoup, and welcome to the forum!

You have to click on the little triangle on the left side of the slider, in that dropdown you can choose it again to be your brush-size-slider.

Which version of krita are you using?
Where did you get it from and how did you install it?

Deleting/reinstalling the krita application will not change anything because the settings and resources are stored in your user area, not in the ‘Program’ area.

Do you get any error message when you try to open them?

Could you open them before you deleted/reinstalled krita?

Can you find the file 2023.04.22.kra and the other files in the location that they are supposed to be?

Are they stored in a different location to the .kra files that you can open?

Can you make one of those non-opening .kra files available for download using a link to a file sharing service/website?

Do you get any error message when you try to open them?

I had a message error when I wanted to open them, but now it works, so I guess maybe there was problem with my computer ^^’
