I tried everything I can to fix the brush lag, and still nothing fuking works! basically I downloaded jazza’s ultimate digital brushes, and when I tried to use them on krita like what I did on photoshop, it causes brush lagging problems! like I tried oil painting brushes and even charcoal brushes and there was alot of lagging! the lagging was so unbearable that it is unusable, i did everything!
I tried canvas acceleration, I tried the ram settings high and low ram usage for kritta even to a hundred, and still doesn’t work!!!
krita is becoming shittier and shittier when I downloaded the brushes, and they are all causing problems!!!
is there a way to fix my problems here!? is there absolutely nothing I can do!?
EDIT: what I am trying to say is that I was trying to make krita run smoothly, and nothing I do is working.
I don’t download brushes often, and even when I do, I never seem to run into any performance issues in particular. Does this affect krita as a whole or only the brushes from the brush pack?
My initial theory would be that the brushes are just ported over from photoshop, so you’ll have to fiddle around with the brush settings a bit to get them to work. I’m not exactly an expert on this. I just replied here to start the conversation.
I don’t know if what your saying would work but how do you do that?
I seem to notice that it was only affecting big brushes, but not little ones, I wanted these big brushes to run smoothly, but even if i used the ram settings, it still wouldn’t work.
how can you make them work? i think it affects on krita
if you press F5, you’ll open the brush settings menu for the brush you’re using. you can go around the options over there but the main one to look out for would be Spacing. it sets the distance between two consecutive stamps of the brush tip. whenever I’ve had problems with brushes lagging, it’s always been the culprit. if the spacing is too low, then the brush will try to stamp an ungodly amount of stamps when you use the brush, and that leads to lag.
if you want to revert back to the original settings of the brush, there will be a button under the name of the brush to do so, so don’t worry about damaging your brushes (but have backups of your brushes anyway. i’m pretty sure this pack is paid, so having backups is better in general, or i guess you still have the .zip file of the brush pack, or whatever original form you downloaded them in)
It looks like you’re on Windows. Are you also using a tablet and stylus?
The size of the brush is important to know. It’s at the top of the screen. When you make the brush bigger, the number gets larger and will take more computing power to make brush strokes.
The brush type is also relevant. Some brushes are super complex - like watercolor brushes. They take quite a lot of computing power. If we make the size too large, everything will slow waaaay down.
So how has Krita been performing for you before you began using Jazza’s brushes?
somewhere around 100.00 px to 80.00 px, again, I have been trying to turn up the ram on krita
the performance was mainly good, there weren’t laggs back then until when i installed jazza’s brushes, that is when it happened even when i shrink the, they still lagg
Try your lagging brushes with the “Dynamic Brush Tool” instead of the “Freehand Brush Tool”.

BTW: You should think about rewording some parts of your opening post. This is a place where people from all over the world, with different cultures, ages and sensibilities read along, and some of the words are very inappropriate. Would you speak that way to your children, parents or grandparents, I wonder?
If only those jazza’s brush are lagging, check those brushes brush tip in brush editor.
If the brush tips are large like 1000x1000 or 2000x2000 and upon, it might cause lag even you set the brush small. (Might help if turn off brush outline in krita setting, not sure, need check yourself.)
Edit: Also depend on brush tip complexity, which is, big and very complex brush tip, will take more performance hit on brush outline.
UPDATE: it turns out Jazza is noticing the problems with the brushes and he is currently updating them right now.
