Hi, sorry for my english, its not my first lenguage.
For a lot of time I thought that doing this was imposible becouse I saw some posts talking about this, that they did not find a way, and a lot o people that use krita in a tablet use the color picker tool and then change to the brush. Today while I was meesing around the settings I found that you can do this change and use the gesture One finger hold. I dont know if this is new or was there before.
To change it go to settings > Preferences > Canvas Input Settings > Add a gesture with one finger hold and sample foreground color.
Thats it. Now you can select color with one finger hold.
Sorry if you knew this already or if its something that was there already but i have been using krita in my tablet for a year now and I remeber looking a lot of ways of changing krita to work better in tablet, but never so anyone talking about this.
1: you speak better English than some native speakers, you wouldn’t believe the way some people who supposedly grew up in this language talk (and I’m not talking about accents)
2: you have better English than i have whatever is your first language (i do not know any other languages, except perhaps crazy-talk)
3: the small mistakes that you did make are things that even perfect English speakers can make if they’re typing too fast, and you articulated your point very well. also the spelling of the English language is terrifying even to writers unless their name happens to be John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (J. R. R. Tolkien was a master of language and i will forever hold myself to his standard in my own writing)

This is my absolute favourite development. I think it was rolled out a few months ago. I previously used a 1-finger swipe but it was a bit hit and miss.
