I need some help! Does anyone know how to get pressure sensitivity to work on a Surface Pro 11?

I recently got a new laptop, a Microsoft Surface Pro 11, and I can’t figure out how to get pressure sensitivity to work on Krita. It sems to work well on everything else, except Krita… I’ve tried everything, but I can’t seem to get it to work. Is there a driver I need to install? I think I had this problem with my old Surface Pro 6, but I can’t remember what I did to get it to work last time!

Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated!

 Hello @LilRed, and welcome to the forum!

I don’t know if you are aware that not every brush reacts to pressure, but if you don’t have pressure using the brush b) Basic-4 Flow Opacity then you can try the following tips:

In Krita’s menu SettingsConfigure KritaTablet Settings set the dot in front of Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink), then confirm that setting with the OK-Button in the lower right corner of that dialog and restart Krita.

Now your pressure should work.

But in the case that not, in Krita’s menu SettingsConfigure Toolbars... search for Use Pen Pressure and put it in one of your Toolbars, which toolbar can be selected here:

This button allows toggling your pen pressure on and off.

I tried that before hopping on. Tested it with a brush that is pressure sensitive. My quest to get pressure sensitivity to work on Krita continues…

Thanks anyway

So I did this video a few years ago because I have a surface pro (it’s a 7 I think). Perhaps it will still work for you? :crossed_fingers:
