I want help shading an icosahedron/bacteriophage head

I’m trying to shade these bacteriophage heads and something about them really looks off to me. I’ve made the darker and lighter sides different hues from the original base colour. If anyone can help me out with some critiques or how I can improve the shading on these heads I’d really appreciate it. The light source should be from directly above.

I think one thing was that the saturation was too low because the saturation of the overall image is quite high.

I think it looks a bit better but let me know what you think
