Well then, as every year, it’s time to welcome the coming New Year…
…because, as in all previous years, our world, starting with the International Date Line in the Pacific, will bid farewell to this year hour by hour and welcome the coming New Year 2026.

And so it seems to be slowly becoming a tradition to wish all of you, by which I mean not only visitors and users of Krita-Artists.org, but truly all beings on our Earth, a Happy New Year!
I wish you all peace, freedom, and happiness in every home in our fragile little world, whether it be a cave, a hut, or a palace.
I also wish that the forgotten may be respected and that we may live together without envy, that no one may lack anything, that your wishes and dreams for health, love, and friendship may come true, whether in the circle of family and friends, in togetherness, or even in self-chosen solitude.
I wish for all of you to be freed from your nightmares and other evils, whatever they may be, or at least to be spared from them.
I wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year, that you always have fun with Krita, and that a good idea for your next Krita image is never far away!
