I’m excited to share the final version of my latest piece.
This project was a true challenge for me. I wanted to explore the concept of complex life forms inhabiting the turbulent, high-pressure atmosphere of a gas giant like Jupiter. I focused heavily on the interaction between the ‘golden hour’ light and the dense, volumetric cloud formations.
I also experimented with adding motion trails and vapor wisps to give the creature a sense of speed and physical presence within that thick environment. It was a journey of many iterations—refining the details of the creature’s anatomy and the depth of the cloud base until it felt right.
Inversion trail on the tips of the fins, you made it endure very strong loads. A beautiful jump.

Exactly, Dima! I wanted to show that even a creature this size has to deal with the immense atmospheric pressure of Jupiter.
