IForce73 Brushes - Environments 2.0 Suite pack

Hello,
I’m really grateful for all the excellent brushes and resources available for Krita. However, I’m facing an issue with the Environments 2.0 Suite pack under Krita 5.2.2 on Linux: some of the brushes do not work properly (they either appear as simple dots or don’t paint at all).

I’ve already tried importing the .bundle files and ensuring the brush‑tip assets are in the correct brushes folder, but certain brushes still fail. Could you please advise the correct setup procedure or any known workaround specific to Krita 5.2.2 on Linux?

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Hello @Joydip_Shome and welcome to the forum

I’ve changed the category of your topic to Support and Advice: Bundles and resources help because that’s what you need. The Resources category is for people who want to provide resources to other people.

The IForce73 resources are well known and there can be complications with them because they were originally made in an ‘old fashioned’ way.

Please reply with a link to where you downloaded the IForce73 brushes from. The exact ‘packaging’ of them will probably affect the resolution of your problem.

There are people on this forum who are very familiar with the IForce73 brushes and they will be able to help you. Please wait for this to happen.

Which distribution of Linux are you using?
The latest formal release of krita is version 5.3.1.
Is there a reason why you are using version 5.2.2?
The latest appimage can be downloaded from here: Download | Krita

In case of problems, you should always use the appimage and it’s very easy to go back to using a previous version when using appimages.

Also, I’m just asking myself, from where you may have downloaded the IForce73 Brushes - Environments 2.0 Suite pack? Do you speak from those you can get over at DA or do you speak from my re-pack of that collection to a Krita 5+ compatible bundle - which I mainly created because of the issues the one at DA has?

Your description points at the DA collection environments_2_0_by_iforce73_dck77w4.zip for my understanding.
The question is, do you want to go through the somewhat laborious fixing of the DA version you downloaded, or do you want to try my re-pack?

Here is a brief description on how to get the DA one running:

  • You first need to remove the bundles from this collection you have imported so far from Krita’s resource folder.
  • The brush tips you have imported must not be deleted but need to be moved out of their folders Environment Brushes - classic Brushtips and Environments 2.0 Brushtips directly into the folder brushes inside of Krita’s resource folder, then you can delete the remaining empty folders.
  • Now you have to restart Krita two times to clean up the resource database.
  • To finish everything you can now re-import the bundles. If the brushes do not directly show up after importing them you have to restart Krita twice again. But then they should be available.

If you need this description in more detail then please say so, and I’ll describe it more precise.
