Importing files from ClipStudio

I’m transfering from ClipStudio to Krita and it seems the only way to import all my hundreds of ClipStudio files (.clip) to Krita is to first save then from ClipStudio as PSD. And then open those in Krita. Unfortunately that is a tedious and time consuming process apart from the fact that the fonts are not always maintained and therefor has to be redone entirely.

So, my question is: (Pretty please!!) Is there a way to import clip-files directly into Krita? That would make me both relieved and happy!

Add suport for importing Clip studio paint files

The clip file format is not documented, so implementing support for it is tricky. The files themselves are sqlite databases, so the basic structure is easy enough (and it’s shocking how simple and limited the text objects are for something that people are absolutely gushing about), but the the layer format isn’t clear and there is a big feature impedance between clip and krita: they have stuff we don’t and we have stuff they don’t.

Similar issue with Photoshop files.

You can use this converter for CLIP to PSD conversion, it needs Python3 to work: GitHub - dobrokot/clip_to_psd: Python script to convert Clip Studio Paint .clip files to PSD files. · GitHub

If you write a batch or other script for it, you can convert all your files in one go to PSD. About the quality of that converter I can’t say anything.
