I painted this from imagination this past weekend. I really enjoy paint from imagination, just for fun. But the result is always funny/weird to me, like listening your own voice for the first time. It’s never as good as the things I do with references, but it’s also more charming and I very much enjoy to have a laugh with my mistakes. There is always something that looks funny or weird. I focused on lighting here, and despite some issues I’m content with it. Critics are very appreciated. Cheers.
I would love to sit there too! It feels so quiet and relaxing.
Maybe for the next time, it’s something I learned some time ago; warm light-cold shadow, cold light-warm shadow.
It is really really beautiful and it is the kind of thing I really wish I could paint but I find environment daunting.
I like it for 2 reasons, It makes you happy enjoying your art, and because it is a nice challenge with a beautiful color palette. As you request critics here i go.
Trees:The tree in the background seems to be a bit flat. In the Foreground i miss some branches.
Water: I miss some crisp lines as there is light coming from above.
Rocks: The color is a bit weird. If they are in the shadow, then they need to be coherent and no highligts.
Pose: It is no clear how are posed the legs and if there is enough space between the hip and the ground.
Maybe will help ![]()
