Indiana Jones | Trying out krita for the first time as a photoshop user

This is my first artwork using Krita. I spent some time figuring out the configuration of Krita. While it cannot be exactly the same as Photoshop, it is quite close. I have high hopes for Krita and believe it is very suitable for artists to create artwork. Although there seem to be some minor drawbacks currently, such as certain thumbnails and zooming in/out being slightly laggy, considering it is free software, I think it’s already very good. Additionally, I hope Krita can have blending options similar to Photoshop’s “Blend If” feature, as it is a very useful function that can increase workflow efficiency.

Nice. What brushes did you use here?

nice, what is blend if?

Nice well done. I don’t know about Krita but there is a similar thing to Blend If in Affinity Photo called Layer Blend Ranges.

I used default brushes like pencil and marker. I also find the default paint brushes handy.

it’s a slider allows you to control how different layers blend together based on the specific tones or colors in the layers. For example, you can make the highlights on one layer blend seamlessly into the highlights of the layer below, while keeping the shadows on the top layer opaque and visible.

oh wow! thank you for sharing, this actually helps a lot!
although I noticed that there seem to be a “blend if” option that’s NOT implemented yet. I hope the devs can complete this feature soon

Nice to see you here.
As an ex photoshp user I can tell you, you’ll love krita. For drawing and painting I haven’t touched PS for years.
Still the color grading tools could use some love though…

Wow Thanks, been looking for this feature for months

Great drawing! did you use any references for this or was this straight from imagination?
