I still have doubts about using this website to create blots, as it seems a bit difficult to see some usable shapes sometimes. I don’t know, might be me… If any of you have some ideas, I’ll gladly listen to them. I’d love for this to be something we all enjoy doing together.
For this little challenge, this will be the subject:
I don’t know why, but I want to pinch his face so much
It’s not the kind of character I’d draw, so it was quite fun to do! And because this character was fun to draw, I wanted to name him! I present: Kamifū Sen! ( kamifūsen is Japanese for paper balloons, which fit him very well in my opinion!)
You should still do it! I want to, but I’ve struggled a little with it and the other works I’ve given priority. I’m travelling at the moment, so can’t do much.
I also want to keep on, it’s a good challenge. The problem is that the website I thought was a great tool is actually a bit weird to use. I don’t know if we can make something usable with it…
I was thinking of making blots using krita and the mirror tool. Maybe creating an animated brush that would recreate the effect… unless you have a better idea?
When I made the digital inkblots for the Halloween challenge, I used several clone layers (based on a single paint layer) with a transform mask applied to each one. By rotating and distorting each clone (using the masks) I created an element of chaos; So every stroke I laid out would appear at different points across the canvas with different distortions.
Umm… Just don’t tell anyone I told you - It’s a secret!
Some sort of pig-faced monstrous jester-warlock, standing or perhaps floating atop some sort of strangely rocket-shaped tower, atop a mountain with another tower in its glowing, perhaps volcanic core. Odd windmills ring this not-to-scale representation of an island, which is balanced precariously on a narrow spire. Ominous purple clouds of magic surround it.
I took some degree of inspiration from The Legend of Zelda series, in particular some versions of Ganon, and Skull Kid atop the Clock Tower in Majora’s Mask.
I used the Multibrush Tool to draw it mirrored, as the base shape is mirrored.
I’ll try using your super secret technique and don’t worry, I’ll carry it to the grave It’s a secret between you and me… and the people on this thread… and the whole world wide web
