Is it somehow possible to apply Gmic interactive morphing filter on two different keyframes in same layer(in timeline mode) ?
I have tried it out in normal layer mode and it came out nicely. It is also quite possible to combine the output layers in folder and then convert it to keyframes.
But I am looking for a way to apply this filter inside animation timeline ,because it can provide more flexible options and results.
So is there any such way currently available ?
As far as I know animated transformations are limited by the type of curves. One curve is one basic parameter. Grid or brush distortions are not supported yet. Probably, one of the regulars will be able to suggest what plans for the future in this direction.
Yes,I am aware of that .
Probably that’s why so far we cannot use the advanced transform tool options in timeline mode.
I was thinking about if there is any way to “convince” gmic to treat two keyframes as two layers as active and above/below manner.
But as you are saying, may not be possible currently in timeline mode because of those limitations.
By the way, thanks for your input
.
Sorry, I intervened not quite on the topic, I rather meant the standard tools for the transformation of the Krita, which exist, but are not supported by animation curves (perspective/warp/cage/liquify/mesh).
All I know about Gmic is that it is not friendly with frames inside the Krita layer, for it the layer itself is a frame (or I don’t understand Gmic) Your idea to use the Gmic Morph [Interactive] tool between keyframes sounds great, I would definitely like to see their implementation, but it seems to require “pointing additional bridges” between Krita and Gmic so that Gmic accepts frames and outputs frames instead of multiple layers. But I’m sure you’ve come to the same conclusions)
Extending (more advanced) transformation support into animations would be a great in my opinion. Even if they couldn’t be interpolated, being able to non-destructively frame-by-frame things like liquify or perspective warping would be awesome.
I feel your views are very similar to my topic, because the final output is based on the animation curve logic.
Initially I thought probably there can be a way where I can trick gmic to work on keyframe to keyframe basis
!
But I guess,we need to wait a little bit longer for that and till then need to manage it in layer mode only.
Yes,that can create nice options like effects available in AnimeEffects
!
Here is one I have tried creating with AnimeEffects.
I was able to achieve this effect via applying Gmic on layers.
But when we will be able to achieve this effect via keyframes, it can create a whole new avenue for static storytelling .
