Issues with downloading Krita

Hi,
I’m having trouble downloading Krita.

When I click the Download button on the website, it just redirects me to a page as if having downloaded it, but no download actually starts. No installer appears and nothing shows up in my downloads.

I’ve tried this on:

  • Opera GX

  • Google Chrome

Same result on both browsers.

I’m on Windows (please let me know if you need the exact version).
Is there something I’m missing, or a different download method I should use?

Here is the direct link https://download.kde.org/stable/krita/5.2.14/krita-x64-5.2.14-setup.exe (this can be obtained from krita.org by right clicking on the button and selecting “copy link” (might have a different name depending on the browser))

Reasons it still might not work are

  • Firewall settings like of a corporate or school network
  • government or ISP firewall (like when you are in china)
  • issues with DNS or VPN
  • just being unlucky and there is something wrong with the website or the link (try again later)

I had no issues downloading the installer just now.

Wow, first of all, thank you so much for your time and help — I really appreciate it.
I was running into the same issue at first: whenever I tried to download Krita from a source, the page would take a while to load and then either fail or show a blank page.
A few minutes later, I realized the problem was actually my VPN causing some kind of issue. I was able to download Krita successfully through your link though, so thank you again!
