Jarry H. Line brush set

Hello,
I’m really intrigued by the Jarry H. brushes in this link

But it seems the page is down. Would anyone be able to share them?

He seems to have an account on a chinese CG site. Maybe you can contact him there…

Here you’ll find it in a folder including the bundle together with a copy of the original website in HTML & PDF-Format and the dragon picture as JPG.

Have fun!

When I download the bundle, Krita doesn’t find any brushes within it, though the zip does also contain the website copies and the JPG. Am I perhaps doing something wrong?

I’ve just checked it and the brushes are in that bundle.
Did you import it via ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Manage Resource Libraries…’’? In that dialog, you have to click on “Import” and select the bundle via the opening file manager window and confirm after selection.

If you encounter further issues, then please don’t hesitate to check back and ask again.

The brush bundle is in there:

Maybe an optical hint will help you in locating them in the Brush Presets Docker?

I think I’ve got it resolved. I don’t know what was going wrong, but I had my brother download the Jarry Bundle onto his computer, create a new bundle with those six presets, and then send it to me, and that worked.

Thanks everyone!

Thank you for this.

You’re welcome!

Wow, this download breaks all expectations, I just made screenshot showing the number of downloads since I post it, in between it had 2 more downloads. It looks like many have missed this download!

You don’t have to hurry, the download will stay online permanently.

I made the mistake of thinking the folder was empty when I tried importing brushes instead of bundles! :upside_down_face:

 Hello @meowhawkie, and welcome to the forum!

I’m glad I could make you happy.
I have to thank you also for the good wishes, I do need them more than just well, because unfortunately life is not so well-disposed towards me. Well, what the heck, grit my teeth and keep going is anyway the only thing that helped me in these cases, and so far I was lucky enough to always pulled the reaper a long nose and escaped him nearly 20 times by now. He had to let me go back again and again. The nurses here at the nursing home probably wouldn’t agree with that, but who knows, maybe he’ll eventually get tired of stalking me, and I’ll reach my desired age of 100, or he’ll get fed up with me, and I’ll become immortal, haha.

Have a nice day and fun using these brushes and Krita!

Hello! I can’t seem to get it to work. When I download the file, it saves as sqdfxo9i.html. Converting it to .zip and extracting it shows an error. Any ideas?

Yes, that is not the file I uploaded, so you downloaded something different. And a HTML file is unlikely to hide an archive in itself…

I just downloaded the bundle with two different browsers without issues from the link I published here in this topic.
The file you can download from that address is a folder, in which the bundle, a copy from the original website in HTML and PDF-Format and the original advertising picture of the Jarry H. Line Brush Set is stored.

Hi! Thanks for the quick response! I’ve tried to download it again from the site you provided (Upload files for free - Line brush set for Krita.zip - ufile.io), but it saved again as an html. Tried with and without a download manager, same result. I’ve made a screen recording of the whole process, but I can’t upload it as a new user  I’m open to sending it via email or any other platform!

I just checked it additionally with the two browsers I got on my mobile and they can download it too without issues, there seem to be something wrong on your side, but what?

I have chosen the options I marked in red, and then I was able to download it using Firefox, Opera and Iron using my PC and using Firefox and Safari on my mobile. To download, you have to click on these fields:

Second:

You don’t happen to be behind an institutional firewall at your school/university or workplace, or behind a firewall like the “Modern Great Wall of China” or its North Korean equivalent, or something similar?

I did exactly what you showed, and that resulted in the HTML file. Weird! I did download it with Chrome tho, I’ll try it again on both my phone and PC with different browsers. And the firewall isn’t a problem. Thank you again for your patience, I really appreciate it!

Edit: Mystery solved. Downloaded it with the Opera browser on my phone and it works okay. I guess Chrome was the issue!

If it is your personal firewall it should be no problem, but schools/universities and companies are known to configure their firewalls in a way that their users can not use services like cloud downloads, although some are selective and allow downloading out of the clouds from the big five, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Amazon, Dropbox and Box is also often not blocked, but “small(er)” file hosting services are not seldom blocked out for reasons that are hard to grasp.

I’ll send you a link to this file in another cloud-space of mine.
