Hello! Ive been meaning to participate in one of your moodboard challenges for a while now. Im glad that ive finally been able too 
Im not sure if i have a story for these three, but these characters popped up into my head when i saw the moodboard, so yeah lol. Thanks for the challenge!

It’s a bit late, but here’s my rough sketch. I was going for some kind of magician, but it might have ended up with a bit of mad scientist or supervillain too.

I started doing a sketch yesterday over a thumbnail I did a few weeks ago. I’m really suprised how similar our sketches are - even working with the same visual prompts; I did a 3/4 figure, same palette, background, owl face with a moustache, orange specs and hat inspired by the lantern!

The Owl Rider, as usual I tried to maximize everything in the moodboard. There are a lot of wilder ideas but I try to hold back and pour my ideas in the next moodboard challenge.

Really good. I can see that you used the lantern motif for the prop in the owl. I like a lot the texture and palette. By the way, are you doing everything in the same layer? the outline for the owl and the rider is done on porpuse to enhance the silhouette?

yeah right, sometimes I use the freehand selection tool or add another layer just for customization by changing the blending mode
