Juvia - Kallisi (Winter)

First of all, Happy Holiday season everyone!

Not much done in December other than some usual practice and a bit of small work. Also made a mistake using some photo on google, because Later I found out it was actually a leaked content. Thankfully I did my due diligence before posting, but what I really should do is to do the research before drawing . Rookie mistake.

Anyway I still wanna post something before the end of the year, so here it is. Around 4.5 hours in 2 days. Ref is from miss Kallisi on IG (Kallisi__Vamp). Main idea is to see how fast I can shift the light and color when there is a ref to follow. The practice that I can’t show was the same but more than twice the time but also way cleaner.

Timelapse,

Magical! Artistry is a true learning process for us all! If we’re artists- we are also students and teachers! Blessings to you and yours! :hugs:

I really like the use of edges in this one!

Hopefully you can share the other one once the ref content releases

Thank you very much for the complement! Hope you all have a great week

Whee, Fairy Tail fan art is something I’ve been hoping for, what a perfect time for it to happen, and from one of the most talented artists here too! :kiki_star_stuck:

That’s pretty awesome for 4.5h, I wish I could get anywhere close to that.
It’s interesting to see how you adjust the colors in the process to get the proper mixture and cold an warm.

Thank you !

For me speed improvement comes from necessity. I don’t have a good endurance, and some work’s deadline in the past was probably normal to others but a bit too small for me. But I think everyone can reach higher speed, just need to balance the practices with our stress level and so we don’t push our self too much and quit in the end.

And thank you for noticing the color adjustment . The Photo ref was very blue in color, so I thought I should make mine more balanced.
