Hi everyone,

For the past week, I’ve been trying to build Krita 5.2.5 (couldn’t find the git branch for 5.2.6 hopefully it has been merged into 5.2.5) from the source code because I really would like to have the Acly segmentation tools plugin.

As background, I’m a self-taught designer and illustrator. I’ve studied computer science 20 years ago, so I’m not a very apt developer.
I’ve been running into all kinds of issues, which I’ve been able to surmount with the help of Chat GPT.

But now I’m stuck because I can’t find a working brew tap for all the required KDE Kf5 frameworks. Can somebody please point me to where they are hosted for the official release?

Since Krita also on macOS is on 5.2.6, I would guess you do not have the right sources, but I may be wrong. The Krita sources are found here:

Why would you need to build Krita from source in order to use a plugin?

Because it is not a normal plugin, and it is only listed in the forum because it is not generative (but we are walking on the edge), and there is no macOS version:
