I got this idea a bit too late to finish it in time for the “Magnificent Dragon” challenge of this month but I still wanted to finish it, so here it is…
For those of you unfamiliar with the cinema of the 80es, it’s a parody poster of the film Commando (1985) starring A. Schwarzenegger.
My first idea was to simply replace the grenades with eggs and keep the rest of the equipment as the original poster but I finally decided to completely get rid of the military attire and put more eggs to really emphasize the theme…
A few words about the fonts: I tried to find free fonts close enough to those of the original poster and I ended up using one called “Big Mummy” (LOL very fitting! It’s on dafont.com) instead of “Antique Wells” for the title and name, and I used “Malgun Gothic” (included in Windows) instead of “Metro No. 2” for the flavor text above.
Making film poster parodies is really fun, I think I’ll do it again sometimes!
