.kra files preview in OSX

Hello, I noticed that since I updated to 4.4.2 I can’t see the image preview anymore in OSX. Is this something on my side or known?

I noticed that too :frowning:
The image preview worked great on the previous version

@amyspark here,

I upgraded the thumbnail renderer in 4.4.2, so that may be the reason. I need the following bits to proceed:

  • What version of macOS are you running? (specifically, anything post Mojave?)
  • Could you check in the System Console if there are any user crash reports naming the following executables?
    • kritaquicklook.qlgenerator
    • kritaquicklookng.appex
  • Does the Spotlight preview still works?

I’m running 10.12.6 (Sierra). The Spotlight preview doesn’t work too. I’ve noticed that I can finally open the files from the Finder without crashing Krita (it was not possible in previous versions).

I didn’t have any crash, just the thumbnail preview doesn’t appear anymore.

Thanks for your help

Filed bug 432328, there’s something wrong with our build process. It picks up a library that is not available in the final bundle.
