Hello,
So, I am currently using Krita from the windows store. When I tried to open Krita yesterday, a message popped up and said “you are trying to run a 32 bit build on a 64 bit computer, this is not recommended, please download a 64 bit version”. So, I could not open Krita at all, it would just show the startup image saying “loading resource types” towards the top right corner. Even when I close Krita the startup image remains on my computer. I am pretty sure using the windows store version means that I should have already been using a 64 bit version, so I am pretty confused for why I got the 32 bit message . I did download Krita from the site this time and it worked, but that means all my presets/brushes were gone. Is there anyway to fix my problem? I could suck it up and just use the one without my presets, but I’d rather keep my brushes/settings and not start over.
according to this post:
your normal krita resource is on:
%appdata%\Roaming\krita
and your windows store install should be in:
%localappdata%\Packages
find krita(with bunch of numbers)
see if you can transfer files.
Thanks for reporting. According to developers chat, wrong krita package was uploaded there. I guess that will be fixed as soon as possible (I guess steam takes some time to upload and verify some stuff)
Okay, thank you for the information. I was very confused and hoped it wasn’t on my side .
Yes, I messed up and accidentally uploaded the x86 build instead of the x64 build; I fixed that today, but we’ll have to wait for approval from the store admins.
Okay, Thank you for clearing that up and for your hard work.
