I installed Krita 4.4.2 portable x64 and was trying to move my settings over from my last non-portable install. I’m missing some options text on each of the menus, The options still appear to work when clicked but I can’t see the text even when highlighting the options.
I tried deleting krita4.xmlgui as another post said but didn’t fix the issue. It also occurs on a computer i never installed krita on before
Did this happen before you migrated the configuration files and resources folder across from the other computer, or after?
If you delete the configuration files and the resources folder, then start krita, does that bring back normal/correct behaviour?
If it does, migrate the configs and resources over, delete krita4.xmlgui and delete kritadisplayrc and start krita. That may work.
The problem happened after I copied the whole share/krita folder from my last installation. When I only redownloaded and only copied over specific folders (bundles, brushes, pallettes…) I didn’t get the issue.
