When I open Krita (Windows 10), it closes immediatly. Doesn’t show up on task manager and I am unable to access any settings. It stays open for around 1 second.
I have restarted my pc, and done a fresh install and am still having the issue.
Any idea what to do to solve this issue? Thanks.
Do you have any photoshop file in recent file list? Can you clear the recent file list and check if Krita opens correctly. Can you also try to reset krita configuration and try again - check how to reset your configuration here - Krita FAQ — Krita Manual 5.0.0 documentation

Thank you raghukamath I have been having this same issue and will give this suggestion a try!
I can’t find either location on my computer. I even searched the entire C: drive.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\49800Krita_RANDOM STRING\LocalCache\Local\kritarc
%LOCALAPPDATA%\kritarc.backup
So if I can’t find the locations to rename the files, what do I do now? 
In “c:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\AppData\Local\”, you have to exchange “YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME” with your Windows-username, e.g., the name you use to log in to Windows.
