Krita 5.1.5 okay for chrome Os linux Damien?

Krita should run on Chrome OS and would run on every Linux that supports AppImages.

I am running krita 4.2.2 Linux Damien/penguin on my Google Chromebook OS laptop. I check for updates on Damien regularly, but all it says is “all packages up-to-date”. I want to download the newer Krita 5.1.5, but I read the same thing on Krita & elsewhere: " Krita 5.1.5. version is not ready for Chrome OS users".
I went to Krita.com download & saw there’s an “applmage” for Linux,but it’s not for chrome OS users or is it? I dont know. It doesn’t say anything about it other than Linux. Can you tell me if there’s a way to install the 5.1.5 & what the difference is using damien or applmage? I appreciate any clarification you can give. thanks

I don’t know anything about Linux Damien/penguin but I have a Chromebook and I installed 5.1.5 from the Google Play Store and it works fine.
Is it possible for you to ‘switch out of’ Linux Damien and use ChromeOS or is it that Linux Damien has replaced ChomeOS on your Chromebook?
