I had issues with Krita 5.1.5 because i used an oversized canvas for drawing animation. I downsized to HD and everything worked well. Now after the update my Krita crashes again very often.
Are there Log Files that can give me a clue on why it crashes?
On macOS, if an application crashes usually the system will pop up with a dialog (“Krita quit unexpectedly”) where you can view the crash report. Those system crash reports are stored in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/.
The useful part of the report would be under the “Thread X Crashed::” heading.
Additionally, Krita’s own usage log is at ~/Library/Application Support/krita.log.
I just had another crash and could conveniently copy the crash text, but i was not able to find any file called krita.log in that specific folder or elsewhere on my device. Do you have an idea where i can find the setting that defines the log location?
As far as I know, the usage log should always be in that location. But I forgot to mention that it can also be viewed in Krita under Help->Show Krita log for bug reports..
