I come from Photoshop and have been using Krita for a while.
And I’m starting to get to grips with Krita pretty well.
How can I work with Smart Objects in Krita or something similar?
Because I don’t know that if I scale something, the resolution of the image doesn’t go down. (resize)
Does anyone know how to check that your resolution stays the same when scaling an image in Krita?
And the other short question, when I open a PSD in Krita and in the PSD image a piece of text is added, but I can change everything in the PSD file except the text, is that possible or is that something baked into the PSD file?
Because I see the text, but I can change the name of the text in the outliner.
The only thing I notice is that Krita’s outliner works with Parent/Child hierarchy. (Ctrl + Shift + G)
(same shortcut as for Clipping Masks?)
That it works with certain parts in one and the same folder should do.
I had written a tutorial on my blog explaining this perhaps it may help you.
Once you create the document your document resolution stays the same scaling an object or layer inside that document doesn’t change the resolution.
Krita supports PSd document by reverse engineering the format and with some documentation available through adobe manuals. So far it is not 100% feature compatible, for example Text and adjustment layers will not be carried over when you open a PSD file in krita. These will be converted to raster layer like the text which becomes non editable.
I was more concerned with Smart Objects not moving but, if I have an image that I then enlarge or reduce it, but that there is no loss of quality, that was my concern how that works in Krita?
And about the text adjustments, it is not possible,
I read under your comment. Since the PSD file is transcoded.
I’m very sorry, I forgot to mention that I meant scaling and quality assurance with Raster Images and obviously not with Vectors.
But then the same still applies with Layer Transform?
