Krita Beta Test

I tried out Krita’s 4.3.0 beta and all I can say is that I’m pretty impressed. First of, the snapshot docker has tons of potential. I imagine seeing myself using it by creating “checkpoints” whenever I’ve reach a major milestone in my illustration and then “re-spawn” to one of those checkpoints whenever I want to restart without restarting entirely. Second, I think the magnetic selection tool is cool. I could even readjust the points to some extent. And the beta watercolor brushes…I love them. I particularly like the grainy water color brush. I don’t know why but I think one of the reasons is because I enjoy the texture it makes. It’s almost like the real watercolors I used at home.

I couldn’t go as much deep as I wanted to on trying the beta because apparently it didn’t sync with the shortcut keys I placed on my pen tablet for Krita. I guess it’s because I used the portable zip folder and I’m so used to using my shortcut keys .

Overall, the beta is hyping me up for the official release as Krita seems to be getting better and better.

This is one my favourite feature too.

The textures are indeed nice. I haven’t tried these brushes yet. Thanks for the teaser  The art looks organic with these.

My laptop is still running on windows 7 can I update To Krita 4.3 Do my system hang and stop working on Krita Please advice.

According to @halla in this thread

Windows 7 is not supported but you can try the portable version. I suggest you to either upgrade to windows 10 or switch to linux if possible. Upgrading Krita will not hang or crash unless it is a bug.
