Krita brush like Paint tool Sai’s ink brush

Hi, I’m new to Krita and still learning the basics of the app and everything.

I transferred from Paint tool sai and Csp, is there a brush similar to the ink pen in Paint tool sai in Krita?

it would be best if you can give a picture or video sample of the said brush many of us here is not familiar with other software. ^-^ best of luck

Perhaps when you select “All” from the tags in the brush preset docker and then type ink into the search field you get lucky.

I don’t know the brush you are searching for but maybe one of those from our resource category are what you are after?

In the image above is the pen I’m referring to.

From the icon allone we can’t know how the brush works when used.

We need pictures with strokes of said brushes. And please, not a complete picture where XYZ brushes were used, just take a canvas and make some strokes with the brushes you search in the programs you named above, so SAI and CSP, then we have something which allows us to point you in the right direction. Otherwise, I’m pretty sure you’ll find brushes in the links I gave you, that are pretty near to those you search.

And I forgot to mention the “Jarry H. Linebrush-Set for Krita”, which is the second most downloaded resource from my cloud, even though you can’t find it in our resource category. But people search for it on the web and Google directs them… :upside_down_face:

And in “Fizzyflower’s ULTIMATE MyPaint Brush Collection” you’ll find a bundle called “Rudluff” (or something like that) with excellent brushes for line art. But this site is a bit hard to navigate and find the right download because of the abundance of resources, so if you need help, feel free to ask.

This may not at all be helpful, but my memory tries to convince me that Sai had very smooth lines in their inking brushes.
Can it be that you just need to experiment with the line stabilizer tool option? I don’t remember what it’s actually called in krita atm and I’m on the go so I can’t check. But it helps making the lines a bit smoother and rounder as you draw.

Edit: I’m thinking of “smoothing” under tool options when you have the brush selected.

By the way, I’m using the Dynamic Brush tool and it feels so smooth
I haven’t used sai, but the dynamic brush is similar to the smoothing in CSP (which has a nice stabilizer too)
Maybe it will give the right feel along with one of the ink brushes in Krita
