Krita closed unexpectedly every time I close it

Hello
Recently after a big KDE update, and now after the Krita 5.1.3 every time I close Krita it is a a bug error in KDE Neon “Krita closed unexpectedly”
I tested in the older version of Krita, and no issues. Somebody have the same problem with the latest updates?

Do you use krita appimage or krita from neon repository?

Can you try appimage and see if it crashes. Most probably the crash is result of Krita in neon repository being built with newer library

I just tried the appimage. no problem with that one

Then it confirms the issue that the repository version has problem since it is built with latest QT library. You can report it to neon developers or use appimage it will probably get solved

What can I do in this situation? I am kind of ok with automate update, and not everytime download and use the app image. and what is not a option right now, that the appimage did not recognise all the setups from the repository version…hmmm

I will use somehow the app image, I just have to see how to apply the same configurations with the appimage.

If you are using the stable version of appimage, it will have a button above news section in welcome screen if you check enable updates to automatically download new version when available.

For nightly version I have a script and recurring timer explained here - Automatically updating Nightly builds of Krita on Linux . it will be a bit technical but let me know if you need help

Thank you, I prefer the stable version. So far it finaly updated everything. I miss in night owl theme the small 1 px light strokes on the dockers, but other than that all good :slight_smile:

Hello @raghukamath again. I start to use the appimage,and I kie it more. Now I have the filters Gmic but I find that option enable native dialog can not be used, and it is very important for me, Maygbe you have some tips how to enable it in the app image.
And as I said, Thank you very much for your help and time
