Krita draws a small straight line before drawing a circle

Type of device* : Inspiron 3585
Brand and version of the device: Dell laptop
System** : 64 bit operating

* Huion
** Windows 10

Description of the issue (you can include screenshots): a small straight line is drawn everytime I try to draw. It doesn’t allow me to draw properly because of this. I haven’t had this issue on 2D pencil or windows paint so don’t think the issue is my tablet. Help please?
I have already tried reinstalling Krita

:slight_smile: Hello @Lizzy_McBride and welcome to the forum!

I’ll try a quick shot, if that’s not it, then you’d have to tell us which Huion tablet and which version of Krita you’re using. The version can be found, for example, in Krita under ‘‘Help’’ >> ‘‘Show system information for bug reports’’ and is written behind ‘‘Version:’’, and then we’ll try to help you further.

So, and now the guessed solution.
In Krita open ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Configure Krita’’ >> ‘‘Tablet Settings’’ and select the setting ‘‘WinTab’’ there, if ‘‘WinTab’’ is already selected then select instead ‘‘Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink)’’, then click OK at the bottom right of that dialog window and restart Krita.
If it doesn’t help, please report back with the tablet and Krita information requested above. And if you would also include a screenshot of the entire Krita window showing your ‘‘not so nice’’ strokes on the canvas, and also the so-called ‘‘Tool Options’’ Docker, that often would be very helpful. The Tool Options Docker can’t normally be seen, it’s hidden under Krita’s color picker, which is normally in the top right corner, just click on its tab to show it.
