Hello. Yes this is certainly a critical bug. As much as I want to fix this, I think this bug will take quite sometime to actually fix and because of my GSoC (which is unrelated to Android), I haven’t been able to spend any time on the Android side.
Also, remember Krita in playstore is still in beta.

Thanks for understanding. And yeah, I should probably find some other reasonable apps to replace Krita temporarily, but despite its bugs, it’s still so good and I just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+.
Anyway, I thought it might be good to mention there’s an update on my situation. I’m just not sure whether it will help, but you never know. When I restarted the device a few hours later, Krita showed me it had some auto-saves I didn’t save. I accepted those and opened them. When I tried to save them, I could somehow access /storage/emulated/0/ etc. and save them wherever I wanted. This hasn’t changed back so far, so maybe the problem was with my device rather than Krita, but that’s just an ungrounded assumption. Hope this helps.
Um, wow. Same here. Storage suddenly appeared in the file explorer from the Settings/Manage Resources/Import menu. No idea why it changed after ten days, with no software update either on the OS side or the Krita side!
I love this program, I just got a S7+ and I’d love to use this as my main painting program… I know its early access, but I wanted to report some of the most annoying bugs I found (some are already mentioned):
For some reason I can’t store two or more brush presets on a tag, just one show up, and when messing with the tags to try to solve this I ended up with two Favorites tags with the star icon, then, I try to delete the duplicated one, and it was impossible, then I restarted the app and both were gone. edit: this is working fine now
edit2: I see that there’s a problem (also in pc) that you cannot delete default presets favorites so I tried to make a tag MyFavs but the presets don’t show on the popup pallete, in fact I select any tag and now the popup is broken, always empty
Using the transform tool is almost impossible, clicking and drag a corner moves another corner, not the one that I clicked, the same when I try to move or rotate
Sometimes the pen won’t draw, I think this happens always after clicking/using the gui, to be able to draw again I have to pinch to zoom in/out first
I disabled draw on touch to help with palm rejection, this is working fine but get a lot of pinch zoom when resting my palm on the screen
I would love a way to scale interface down to get more canvas space, the S7+ is big enough for that.
Thanks to the developers for this amazing piece of software, I tried many other art programs for android and they always lack some functionality or the brush engine is very poor, krita has it all, just fixing this bugs and maybe adapt the ui a little for tablet usage and it will be perfect
That’s something new I’m hearing. It seems to work fine here, could you explain the issue?

One this I can suggest as a workaround is to enter canvas only mode by using popup palette (long press on canvas). You can also configure Krita to only show the docker you need.
How did you restart krita in your samsung tablet? And how do you change the preferred renderer settings, I have tried everything I can do but can’t seem to change it.

Tts kind of hard to see the cursor, but if you notice no matter which control point I press its always the top right one that it gets moved. This doesn’t happen the first, nor the second, maybe around the third time I use the transform tool, and to fix it I have to kill the app and open it again

Krita on Android is working great, but I noticed that for some reason it won’t change the color of the grid or guides. I can choose a different color for them in settings, but they won’t display the new color. Also, it won’t display the grid or guide as dashed or dotted lines when that option is selected.
Is this a reported bug or is it only happening for me?

In Galaxy Tab S6 lite, I can’t change the name of any layer.
In the form, the edit box doesn’t catch focus, so I cannot edit its name.
My Samsung s7 experience is still very good, but there are still a few problems: 1 spen button does not seem to have any effect 2 painting process has flash screen 3 I hope to open the settings interface is full screen I open the settings interface point is not sure button, is covered. Hello. Since android isno longer tied to mousekeyboard, a list of shortcutslike how to get pop up palette will be nice, I keep getting that pop up palette on my android and can’t figure out how it comes…
Unfortunately this is usually happening to me when I try to open a .kra file with the message “The pixel data could not be loaded” which implies that the entire file was deleted.
@stumkes: happens to me too. Just didn’t take the time to note it in this thread. For me it didn’t always do it, but only after I had to reinstall the app because I was dumb enough to change a setting in such a way the app didn’t open anymore. After reinstallation, this happens, as far as I know, almost every time I open an oversaved file (as in I used “save” rather than “save as”). To counter this, I’ve set autosaves to once a minute and save every update as a new file with a different version number XD. That’s never failed me so far
I was able to Import brush bundles but:
I keep getting md5 error message. My bundles were downloaded from Drive.
Transform tool: corner rotate works but when I try to move the selected section, transform tool will deform section. I had to get around this by using the Move tool first, then do the Transform tool to rotate my selection.
@Corstiaan_Slob This was fixed in 4.4.2-beta2. Let me know if you can reproduce this with it.

. I’ve been really busy lately, so I can’t wait to find out for myself what else got fixed since that update.
hi there, did you find a way to save and access your files, does the problem persist or have you found a workaround?
not sure where I read this but: ?Does it help to save to SD card to a specified folder?
I had issues with files not wanting to save - both with and without SD card - but after inserting the card at least I know the path where krita files are saved.
also I think krita asked me whether I wanted to save to SD instead of the former path after I inserted the card.
