Try toggling canvas acceleration under configure->Display.

I’m having trouble finding where to do that.

Krita settings are in the menu in the Krita logo, in the same place settings for all applications are on Mac. Then you need to go to “Display” and there will be a checkbox for the canvas acceleration.

YES THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Turning off canvas acceleration worked!!! But, why did it only now start to cause crashes if I never turned it on to begin with, if you dont mind answering.
