I’m not sure if this is an issue more with Linux Mint’s desktop environment or with Krita itself, but it is an issue I’m only seeing with Krita. When using contiguous selection or transform layer, Krita loses app focus. The canvas is unresponsive until I click the window title bar.
It’s all fairly random when this happens. Using Krita 5.1.0
Almost, but not quite. With my configuration, the default linux behaviors with ‘alt’ is all switched off and I don’t use that key with any of my Krita shortcuts. To the unresponsiveness, it’s less the app goes unresponsive but more like it’s no longer the active desktop application so it doesn’t recognize many key commands until it’s re-activated. Clicking the title bar shows the change in color to reflect it coming in to focus again.
I have the contiguous select tool mapped to ‘q’ and using the tool seems to have a 7 in 10 success rate without Krita dropping out of focus. I’ve mentioned the transform tool having some similar response. It’s noticable when I hit ‘enter’ to apply the changes but nothing happens.
