I bought a new Desktop today and when I tried to install The latest krita (, using the 64-Bit installer, from the website, It wasn’t working, still isn’t, I’ve been trying for over a day now. Is this a bug or something related to development?

I assume you’re using Windows 10?
There’s a difference between ‘downloading’ and ‘installing’.
Did you download the krita-x64-4.4.1-setup.exe file into your Downloads folder with no error messages or indications and is it about 130 MB in size?
When you double click on the installer file, do you get the expected/usual installation messages and display and progress behaviour?
If not, what is done and what is seen?
When you say it’s not working, does krita seem to try to start?
What exactly is the nature and appearance of what happens?

My problem is that the krita-x64-4.4.1-setup.exe is not downloading from the website at all. It is not showing up in my downloads file, there are no error prompts and it isn’t even showing to be downloading from my browser. I have tried a VPN service, restarting my computer, but nothing is working.
Please advise
I downloaded it with no problem to check the file size before i posted my reply, so the website was working fine.

and also try it with a different browser.
Have you installed any anti-virus or other security software on your computer?
Can you download other installers such as Blender or GIMP (etc) with no problems?
