Not the OP (and this is basically a year late) but I went ahead and made a template .kra for this.

How to use:

  • Use vector tools (ex. the line tool) to make divisions on the layer labelled “Borders”.
  • Draw on the layers below them.
  • Optionally, select the areas in-between the borders using the wand tool and use transparency mask to make alpha-layers for panels.
  • Edit the borders by using the layer styles menu on the Borders layer or with the vector selection tool.
