I work with Ubuntu (22.04) and installed Krita with the Ubuntu Software center on my pc. Since any days Krita won’t start. I have make own color palettes and templates. Is there any way to find the folder path where these two are saved? I wont to import these in a other Krita Version if it’s possible.
The appimage is the only Linux version that the Krita team produces. If I were on Linux, I would only use that.
Anything else is built by a 3rd party and may not include all the dependencies necessary. You can report the problem to the Ubuntu software centre. They may not know about the problem, yet.
If you cannot find your custom palettes in the resource folder used by the AppImage, which is possible because the versions compiled and maintained by other than the Krita developers often use different locations for the resources, then they are not lost or overwritten.
So if you can’t find your palettes, search the whole file system for a file called Krita_4_Default_Resources.bundle and you will find two of them, one in the path used by the AppImage and the other in the path used by your old installation. In this path, go to the palettes folder to find the palettes you made yourself.
