Krozz Defender

From time to time I create fantasy illustrations, but it doesn’t matter what the subject is - everything always looks like from the 80’s .

Don’t worry, the 80es were great, and with the movie Conan the Barbarian you’re in good company!

Thank You very much - everything is fine.
Alternative description … hmmm - maybe something like this:
" A work inspired and influenced by the great masters of illustration from the 70’s and 80’s."

perfect to be a cover in Metal Hurlant, 1984 or Cimoc

It’s funny, those old pulp arts usually are a hit or miss for me.
But you have such updated feel to that style; the composition and pallete, looks gorgeous.

Love the design on the creature, some bits seems Lovecraftian - the skin, especially-, but with a Masters of the Universe twist. Super interesting mix.

Wonderful work, mate! Hope to see more of your paintings.
Have a great week!

Epic book cover material here :+1: Good job on the gradient, the texture, the variety of shapes in the composition, the distribution of the level of detail and the pose. It works at so many levels.

Impressive !

And I was a kid when I used to buy those comics from the 80s…

As usual, the cover art was often way better in drawing, anatomy, composition, color, etc, than the internal comic pages.

It absolutely captures even the physical appeal of the prints and painting material used back then !!!

To be honest, only a few cover artists reached this level, even back then when the job of illustrator (and comic artist) was quite a much better deal.

HUGE kudos.

Oh, so cool. This has gamebook cover / DnD vibe. The stance is great, super dynamic… strong rim lighting looks fantastic, everything is finely textured. Stunning work !
