Larger colour picker in the pop-up palette?

Hello, hello!

I want to start off by saying I adore Krita, and feel a bit guilty about my first post being a request, haha. However, I was wondering if there would be any way in future versions to make the colour picker in the pop-up palette larger? Right now, the largest it can go is 240 px, which is quite small. I like to work in canvas only mode to maximize my working space, and one of my favorite features is that lil palette. The only issue is it’s a bit cumbersome to try and choose colours from it. I hope I explained myself well enough, and if there is any alternate solution, I would love to hear it!

This is an example of what it looks like right now (though I doubt many people need a frame of reference, it is a bit easier to compare the following images):

And if it could get a wee bigger…

Ta da! For me, that would make colour picking easier.

Thanks in advance!

The internal color selector you can change it into a square already. Check the settings

I requested something similar back in February, but it didn’t go anywhere, my best advice is going into the .config and playing around with:

popuppalette/selectorSize
popuppalette/size
numFavoritePresets

and then locking the file access so krita cant change it anymore, otherwise krita will reset the values back to default on start up. As a caveat any chances you do in the settings with the file locked will reset once you exit the program.

Oh, I see what you mean. I was looking in the wrong place, haha, thank you for telling me that!

Okay, I will be honest, I know NOTHING about coding (if that is even what you are talking about). Would you mind walking me through the process you are suggesting? Or guiding me to tutorials that may be able to help? Thank you!
