Latest stable release? 5.0.6 or 5.0.8?

Hi,

I’m a fedoraproject linux distribution packager for krita, and just curious what the latest recommended stable release is?
krita.org website includes release announcements and links to version 5.0.6, but I see 5.0.8 available from kde downloads under link KDE - Experience Freedom!

I see reference recommending 5.0.8 that includes a crashfix, so we’ll go with that,

Version 5.1.0 will be released soonish and is available as a beta1 preview at the moment.
Maybe it would be better to wait for the 5.1.0 formal release?

Users want something stable that doesn’t crash… now. So 5.0.8 for now, looking forward to 5.1.0 when formally availalbe, thanks.

5.0.8 is the latest stable release only for linux distributions that also package the latest KDE frameworks. It’s not for the general public, we don’t want to make binaries of it – it’s only for distribution packages, so we didn’t announce it on krita.org.
