I’m starting to get frustrated with my drawings again, and I think it might be because I lack experience. So I went to YouTube and searched for an easy exercise;
I’m glad I followed that tutorial, I learned a lot! I didn’t do some steps, like some of the lightning because I was probably slightly putting too much pressure on my pen and it looked a bit weird. I also did the shadows another way, because when I followed the tutorial, the color of the shadow was clashing with the lemon’s skin; I duplicated each slice, set layer style: multiply, colored them both, blurred them, and used the airbrush to soften them a bit.
In the end, it feels like I wasn’t the one who painted it, so it’s a big win, I guess?

Don’t be hard on yourself about, getting better at drawing takes time and I never knew an artist that was help with their skill, no matter the level they are
