Right now when you make selection with Rectangle Selection Tool the only modification that possible is to move rectangle with mouse.
What would be nice (and what is expected behavior, at least for me) is to be able to set (or better say, tweak) the position and the size of the rectangle.
That would allow to have a fine control over selection.
In Krita 5.0 there is a new feature added for showing the position in the on canvas display popup and the left top area where it shows zoom notifications.
In addition to this you can already tweak the selection. Right click the select and then press edit selection. In the edit mode choose the shape selection tool and put coordinated and dimension in the tool option docker. This was possible in krita 4.4 too

Oh. Thanks for the tip.
Though, I think it would be good to have this tweaking ability.
If it is not going to be edited then at least them make it such that in Tool Options docker I cannot type values, which btw change nothing.
For me it is a misleading UX.
Those values come into effect when you lock the Width or Height or Ratio (or a combination of those).
The next made selection will be ‘pre-made’ for you according to those values.
Use Mode = Vector to give use of the vector shape Geometry adjustment options when you do Select → Edit Selection.
If you use Mode = Pixel then that results in the Transform tool options instead.
