I thought this had been done because I remember testing a development version of this facility by @Deif_Lou in July 2024 which I thought was then merged into the Nightly builds at that time.
However, I didn’t try looking at it after that in the Nightly builds or formal releases.

Hi! Is there any progress on this? I checked 5.2.10 and it doesn’t have straight steps in curves. People mentioned it was already implemented in dev version some time ago, but it looks like it is abandoned again?

The functionality may be in the prealpha and not yet incorporated into the release version for some reason. It was in the prealpha the last time I looked.

There was a previous merge of some kind but I’ve lost track of things.

@AnnaIv Your thread has been merged into the feature request that contains commentary from one of the devs.

If you didn’t have time to read @AhabGreybeard’s suggested post, the feature will not be ready until 5.3 comes out.
