Linux pen pressure issue. Max pressure capped at 49.5% with official drivers

Type of device: XP PEN DECO PRO (M)
Brand and version of the device: XP PEN
System: LINUX (ARCH)

If I don’t download any drivers the tablet works as intended. All buttons work and pressure is capped at 100% but I have no way to change the button key binds. If I install the linux xp pen drivers for my tablet (tried both from AUR and from official site) I can change the keybinds and access the settings normally and the pen tablet settings detects 100% pressure but in krita or any testing window outside of krita (wev, libinput) the pressure is capped at 49.5%.

I have found this related topic on the exact same issue: https://krita-artists.org/t/pressure-problem-linux-mint/
But the response was to get open tablet driver and you can’t set the bind for the deco pro scroll wheels with it and the tilt functionality doesn’t work. I can’t even get the pen button to work with it. Is there a way to get the xp pen tablet driver to behave properly? Or is open tablet driver my only option other than to just get used to everything being at 49.5% max pressure?
Tablet:

installed driver:
aur/xp-pen-tablet 4.0.7-250117 (+34 0.59)
XP-Pen (Official) Linux utility (New UI driver)

Edit: I can confirm that with open tablet driver tilt and wheel is not supported:

XP-Pen Deco Pro Medium Missing Features Tilt and wheel are not yet supported.
XP-Pen Deco Pro Small Missing Features Tilt and wheel are not yet supported.

I also personally can’t get the pen buttons to work.

 Hello @CHRONOS, and welcome to the forum!

There are more and more users who say that XP-Pen under Linux works best when using the driver’s from OpenTabletDriver. The only thing one should obey is that your model is fully supported from OTD. But recently a friend said that the state reported at OTD about what works and what not is not always up-to-date, that means, even if they state to currently not support your tablet in full, it is worth to test if that is true, if you are lucky, their driver has more abilities as they state. Here you find what they state about your XP PEN DECO PRO (M).

I spend days trying to fix the issue. I make a thread. I instantly fix it. Every. Single. Time.

run “yay xp-pen-tablet”
2 aur/xp-pen-tablet-systemlibs 3.4.9.231023-1 (+1 0.00) (Out-of-date: 2025-05-12)
XP-Pen (Official) Linux utility (New UI driver)
1 aur/xp-pen-tablet 4.0.7-250117 (+34 0.59)
XP-Pen (Official) Linux utility (New UI driver)

run “2” (install the old driver)

no idea why I didn’t think to try that much earlier.
