Liquify tool problem... Any alternative?

I tried to “draw” this one in Krita (I did draw it in GIMP)

How I did it?
In GIMP: Gradient tool, then the Warp transform tool, use it like a brush…
In Krita: Gradient Tool, then transform> Liquify, try to use it like a brush but very quickly (after 2 seconds) nothing is moving, pixelizing everywhere, needed to kill Krita in terminal
Also when I select the liquify, my gradient is changing color (get lighter)

My gradient before selecting “Liquify” and clicking on the canvas

My gradient after selecting “Liquify” … colors are lighter(once I click “Apply” it gets its color back, though), you can also see that “liquify” is producing pixels and don’t “liquify” at all

Is there an alternative to this Liquify tool? Or am I doing things wrong?
Layer is a “paint layer”

Try the brush called ‘v)_Distort_Move’ with maximum deform amount in brush settings > Color > Deform Options

I believe it’s in default Krita 4 brushset.

Tested result :

You can also do it with liquify by raising its deform amount but it’s probably way slower.
