Hi,
Last month I joined the Krita Foundation with a monthly donation. I created an account from https://fund.krita.org/accounts/signup/.
Today I tried to login but I only had an option to login using a KDE identity, however I couldn’t do that because the credentials did not work on KDE, and trying to reset the password also resulted in an error.
Also, I never received any email from Krita or KDE.
As a test I created a second account on the krita fund website and I managed to login, however as soon as I logged out, I could not login again for the same reason.
Solution:
In order to solve this, I created a new account on the KDE identity website
using the same email that I had used on the krita fund website.
Once the account was activated I managed to login on the krita fund website using this new KDE identity, and it recognized my account, showing the profile and the payment receipts.
So it seems like registering on fund.krita. org does not actually create a KDE login.
I hope this can help those who have the same problem.
This is a serious problem, at the very least the sign up page on fund.krita.org should include a link to the KDE identity registration page.
I hope this issue is handled soon, as I believe it can seriously harm the donation process…
If I’m missing somenthing please let me know.
Thanks,
Marco
