I’m the project coordinator of Emerald Legacy (https://emeraldlegacy.org), a fan-driven non-profit project to continue the Legend of the Five Rings Living Card Game.
We’re planning to release our new set (a base/core set) at the end of this year/early next year. The set will feature about 250 cards, and we need artworks for nearly all of them. 
We will provide detailed card descriptions for every card, but the artists are free in their style, how they interpret the description, and are very welcome to also bring in their own ideas.
Since FFG released a legal statement when they ended the L5R LCG, we are not allowed to pay artists for their artworks. 
However, every artist keeps the full rights to their art, may sell it, use it for social media, personal projects or other stuff. The artists only give us permission to use their art for our cards, the website, and maybe playmats.
We want to offer them a platform where players across the globe can see their art on both digital and physical cards, on our website, and on playmats and promo cards.
We already have a very diverse set of artworks for our previous three sets:
All of the artists donated their art (and time) to our project for free, and that’s so beautiful. It’s especially cool to see how they grow with every card they paint, get better, further develop their style, and just cheer for each other in our discord.
Any style is welcome, any help is welcome, we’re super grateful for everything we get. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch. If you already have some artworks and think they might be fitting, let us know, and if they indeed fit, we’ll ask you for permission to “license” them.
