Magnifying glass

Hello, I am a beginner, with my first attempt I already saw a magnifying glass. I could do nothing more,
no further work was possible. I didn’t get it away either. Like help.

For a beginner, the manual is very useful: https://docs.krita.org/en/
For all types of problems, a screenshot of the entire krita window is very helpful in letting people understand what you are seeing on your monitor and what the problem may be.

Which operating system are you using and which version of krita are you using? Which tablet (if any) are you using?

Do you have any previous experience of using digital painting applications?

The magnifying glass cursor is what you see if you press and hold Ctrl+Space, normally, and is the zoom control indicator. This can only happen if you’ve opened an existing image file or have created a new file. Under what conditions are you seeing the magnifying glass?

Edit:Additional: I’ve just realised, you might have selected the Zoom tool (an icon that looks like a magnifying glass) in the Toolbox docker (collection of tool icons). If you do that, you’ll always see a magnifying glass icon, until you select a different tool in the Toolbox docker. Try selecting the tool icon that looks like a paintbrush then try painting on the canvas.
