Make Text Tool Editor Background Color Setting More Accesible

Current Behaviour:

In the current behavior to change the background of the Text Box ,
You will need to Settings → Color tab → Editor Background Color.

Thats a hefty number of click, for changing the textbox background color and also somewhat hidden.

its hard to match and find color that is readable - considering its not an on canvas editor and alot doesn’t have extra screen to throw this textbox there. So matching the editor color to make the text readable at anytime is essential in easing the text editing process.

My suggestion is to transfer this to one of the menu in the TextTool Box.
Sample. I think there is space for it.

 Also it still hard to read real small text font. I couldnt size down the Editor Background text cause it got so small when i was editing my screenshot.

I second this really needs changed, especially when you’re doing gradient work between your two selected colors for a complex composition that relies on gradients. It’s just cumbersome. It seems wherever you are in the program, the secondary/background color is hidden, which is honestly a major hassle.

Hello @lilithRose and welcome to the forum

I’m not familiar with that particular problem though I’m sure you’re right.
Could you post a screenshot illustrating what you mean?

Thanks for posting the how-to! That feature is buried so deep, I never would have found it. But it’s pretty darn necessary! Text is almost always black or white, to get the kind of contrast you need to see the small lines that make up the letters. Black is hard to see in the editor, and most any color other than white can be difficult to see in the image. I’ll be saving this path for a workaround. Here’s hoping that a light gray will work most of the time, and I won’t need to change it often!

Hopefully by the end of the year or next year we will not need this.
