MAN BAND, Chapter Two, Page 22 Line Art

I’ve always loved Krita’s drawing guides and I discovered a new one with this page! I’ve usually used either the Vanishing Point or 2-Point Perspective guides whenever I needed perspective reference but this time around, the tiled roof would have been almost impossible without the Perspective Plane. That made the job a LOT easier! I’ll probably be toning down the linework when I add the shading, but it’s great to have it there when I need it.

Did you automate the tiles in some way or do them manually?

Your drawing is very clean. nice!

I drew all the lines individually, using “Snap to Assistant” for the vertical lines and just following the underlining grid for the horizontal scallops freehand.

Thank you!

Is that roof top drawn manually one by one? that is patience

Oh nice. That comic police font is also very nice. It doesn’t look like the classic comic font where did you get it? Is this a Krita font?

Krita has no own fonts, it uses those provided by the OS. So, every font you install to your OS will be available in Krita.
BUT that is not true for Android, because of some sick limitations enforced through Google. Although it was said somewhere that there may be light at the end of the tunnel, I hope it’s not the train the reporting user saw.

@RamonM Yes, the roof tiles were all drawn individually–I don’t think I would have considered handling it this way without the perspective plane drawing assistant. I was surprised at how little time it took–the whole drawing was done in 2 days.

@TheInkedKnight Thank you! The font is Hometown Hero, by Blambot.com

@Michelist That was another advantage of Hometown Hero–since it’s not an Adobe font ((it’s a Blambot font) I was able to just add it to the Mac OS fonts through Font Book and work with it directly in Krita.
